Hi, I’m Molly, the maker behind Pear Tree Stitch Studio – a small UK embroidery business creating personalised pet portraits and keepsakes from the photos you love most.
I’m also a mum of two, and Pear Tree Stitch Studio actually began while I was on maternity leave with my first baby.
Where It All Began
The idea started with our own black Labrador.
While I was on maternity leave with my son, I wanted to create something special for him – a little sweatshirt embroidered with a portrait of our Labrador.
I loved the idea of taking a favourite photograph of our dog and turning it into a drawing that could then be stitched onto something my son could wear.
So I made one.
That little sweatshirt was where the idea for Pear Tree Stitch Studio began.
What started as something personal for my own family gradually grew into creating custom pet portrait embroidery for other families too. I realised just how special it was to be able to take an ordinary photograph of a much-loved pet and turn it into a keepsake that could be worn, displayed and treasured.
And things have grown from there.
From Your Favourite Photo to Embroidery
Today, I create personalised embroidered pet portraits from photographs, capturing the little details that make your pet yours – from their floppy ears and markings to those expressions you'd recognise anywhere.
Every custom portrait begins with your photograph. I create your pet's line drawing individually before sending you a digital preview by email to approve.
Once you're completely happy with the design, I turn it into embroidery and stitch your portrait onto your chosen piece.

From custom pet portrait sweatshirts and cushions to framed portraits, embroidery hoops and personalised Christmas decorations, each piece is individually created from your own photograph.
Although Pear Tree Stitch Studio has grown since that very first sweatshirt, the idea behind it hasn't really changed.
I still want to create meaningful, personalised pet gifts that celebrate just how important our animals are to our families.

I'm involved in every part of your order – from creating the initial line drawing and preparing the embroidery design to stitching, finishing and packing your finished piece.
It means so much that something which began during maternity leave, with an idea for a sweatshirt featuring our own black Labrador, has grown into a business creating keepsakes of other people's much-loved pets.
